Front Desk Clerk

Night Auditor

Job duties will include-but not limited to the following:

  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments
  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms
  • Answer enquiries regarding hotel services and registration by letter, by telephone and in person, provide information about services available in the community and respond to guests' complaints
  • Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers using computerized or manual systems
  • Demonstrate a full commitment to providing the best possible experience for guest’s associates
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services
  • Process group arrivals and departures; Process guests' departures, calculate charges and receive payments
  • Investigate and resolve complaints and claims
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
  • Clerical duties (i.e. faxing, filing, photocopying)
  • Cleaning of front desk area
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures
