The Behavioural Finance function at TD Wealth is part of the National Sales Office with the following teams: Sales Effectiveness, Wealth Segment Strategy, Communications & Marketing, and Practice Management. The National Sales Office supports all Advice lines of business including Financial Planning, Private Investment Advice, Private Investment Council & Private Trust.
The National Sales Office is focused on:
Driving end-to-end sales process effectiveness, from business planning, through consistent execution on our re-energized sales and client engagement model
Building internal and external awareness of our value proposition and Advice brand
Enhancing client acquisition through One TD partnerships, direct to advisor / digital programs, and targeted segment strategies
Evolving our Practice Management capabilities to support leaders, client-facing professionals, and support teams through skill and capability building, and curriculum roadmaps
Enhancing the effectiveness, coordination, and quality of communications to employees and clients
Evolving our reporting from data and information sharing to insights that drive strategic decision making
As a member of the National Sales Office team, this role reports to the Senior Manager, Behavioural Finance & Innovation Strategy
This role of Manager Applied Behavioural Finance will primarily focus on:
The application of behavioural finance to the Wealth Lines of Business
Primary responsibilities include:
Assist with the development of the annual and long range Behavioural Finance Strategic plan
Take a leadership role in working collaboratively with Advice lines of business to drive Discovery Tool adoption.
Lead the application of behavioural finance into the tools and processes of the Sales & Client Engagement model
Manage the relationship with BEAR (Behavioural Economics at Rotman), including two student lab projects, one intern project and TDW training sessions.
Assist with the annual BEAR/TDW research study.
Manage and fully leverage the BX2020 (global behavioural finance conference), title sponsorship, working with the conference organizers and internal TD partners
Assist with the development and execution of TDWs annual agenda setting behavioural finance research, working with TD's marketing research partners
Take a leadership role in the analysis of quantitative research data and development of key insights
Assist with the development of TDWs annual Behavioural Finance Industry Report
Collaborate with the Strategic Editorial team to create relevant Behavioural Finance content for advisors and clients
Work with Practice Management (Training & Development) to implement behavioural finance programs
Assist with the drive for TDW to be recognized as the industry leader in the application of behavioral finance

Proven track record of commercializing and operationalizing abstract thoughts, academic insights and consumer needs into relevant, tangible and action oriented projects that support the business goals.

Excellent Project Management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities and timelines on a variety of projects and initiatives
Relationship management of key partners and executives across wealth and the enterprise.
Demonstrated leadership skills with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of impact and influence, negotiation and collaboration among multiple and diverse business partners
7-10 years TD Wealth or other wealth management firm experience an asset with proven commitment to improving the customer experience.
MBA or equivalent seen as an asset.
