Overview
We are seeking a experienced Structural Fitter to join our team. You will become a vital contributor to our manufacturing and construction projects! In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining structural components with precision and expertise. Your mechanical knowledge, rigging skills, and ability to interpret blueprints will drive the success of complex projects. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately assemble structural components
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (MIG, TIG), plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other machinery to cut, shape, and fit metal parts
- Perform rigging operations to lift and position heavy structural elements safely using cranes and forklifts
- Measure materials precisely with calipers and perform basic math calculations to ensure proper fitment
- Weld structural parts securely following welding procedures while maintaining quality standards
- Conduct routine inspections of assembled structures for alignment, integrity, and safety compliance
- Assist in the assembly of ductwork, mechanical systems, or other related components as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols during manufacturing or construction activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in structural fitting, manufacturing, or construction environments with hands-on use of hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in welding (MIG and TIG), plasma cutting, press brake operation, and schematics reading
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately for precise assembly
- Experience with rigging operations involving cranes or forklifts for lifting heavy components safely
- Knowledge of ductwork installation or assembly is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fitting processes
- Familiarity with schematics, assembly instructions, and manufacturing standards
- Ability to work effectively with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining devices
- Construction experience or related technical training is highly desirable
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, Day Shift
- Overtime after 44 hours
- Weekly pay
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
