Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team. This position supports a variety of property maintenance, landscaping, construction, demolition, and site improvement projects for residential and commercial properties throughout Orléans. The ideal candidate is dependable, enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in delivering quality results, and is comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. This role involves a combination of general labour, material handling, site preparation, clean-up, landscaping, and seasonal winter maintenance duties, with opportunities to assist on a wide range of projects throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities includes, but are not limited too:
- Assist with demolition and removal of structures, materials, flooring, fencing, landscaping features, and other site elements as required.
- Perform site preparation activities including excavation, grading, digging, trenching, and material removal.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, equipment, and debris to and from job sites.
- Assist skilled tradespersons with construction, renovation, repair, and property improvement projects.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, compact equipment, and other job site machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Complete general labour tasks including lifting, carrying, moving, and disposing of construction materials and waste.
- Prepare and maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas throughout all phases of construction and demolition projects.
- Assist with fence installations, concrete work, interlock, retaining walls, drainage systems, and other exterior construction projects.
- Remove and dispose of debris, rubble, vegetation, and waste materials in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
- Support emergency property repairs and restoration work following storms, damage, or other site-related incidents.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in landscaping, construction, demolition, general labour, property maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience operating landscaping equipment, hand tools, power tools, and light construction equipment is considered an asset.
- Ability to safely perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions throughout all seasons.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of construction, demolition, landscaping, and property maintenance practices is an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions, work efficiently, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong attention to safety and adherence to workplace safety procedures.
- Valid G Class driver's license with a clean driver's abstract is preferred.
- Reliable transportation to report to various job sites throughout Orléans and surrounding areas.
- Punctual, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with flexible hours based on seasonal demands.
- Work is performed primarily outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Physically demanding work involving lifting, walking, bending, and equipment operation.
- Exposure to construction sites, demolition sites, landscaping projects, and active work areas.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times as dictated by the nature of the work.
