About the Role:
We are seeking a highly strategic Vice President of Finance to provide executive-level oversight for the Nexco Group. As the ultimate owner of our financial vision, you will drive big-picture planning, manage complex cash flow and risk, and optimize internal controls to ensure sustainable, profitable growth across Nexco and a subsidiary of companies.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership & Planning
- Serve as the primary financial visionary for the Nexco Group, aligning financial strategies with overarching business goals.
- Provide high-level strategic oversight, partnering directly with the President and executive team to drive profitability, sustainable growth, and execute strategic expansion initiatives.
- Lead comprehensive financial planning and analysis (FP&A), developing forecasts, budgets, long-term projections, and growth targets to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Deliver clear, concise financial presentations to the executive board and key stakeholders.
Reporting, Tax & Governance
- Oversee the timely preparation of financial statements, ensuring strict compliance with GAAP and corporate governance standards.
- Direct corporate tax planning and compliance strategies to minimize liabilities.
Treasury, Risk & Construction Finance
- Manage treasury and complex cash flow cycles to ensure liquidity for operations and capital expenditures.
- Identify and assess financial risks, such as market, credit, and operational risks. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks, safeguarding the company’s financial health.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the finance and accounting department.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, innovation, and high performance.
- Actively mentor and develop internal talent to build a best-in-class finance function that supports long-term objectives.
Process Optimization & Scaling
- Establish and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risk.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement scalable financial processes that can accommodate continued, rapid business expansion.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or related roles, with at least 5-7 years in senior management and leadership positions.
- CPA designation and/or MBA preferred.
- Experience in the construction, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Deep understanding of construction-specific financial principles, including project accounting, WIP reporting, and construction cash flow cycles.
- Exceptional ability to lead, mentor, and develop a finance team, with a collaborative approach to empowering existing staff to grow in their roles.
- Proven expertise in high-level strategy, complex financial planning, and enterprise-level projections.
- Demonstrated experience leading companies through growth phases and successfully improving financial processes.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel modeling.
