Scholars of Oakville South is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Literacy Tutor to join our team. We are looking for someone passionate about helping students strengthen their reading, writing, comprehension, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Teach English literacy skills to students from elementary to high school levels
- Support reading comprehension, writing development, grammar, spelling, and vocabulary
- Deliver engaging and individualized instruction in a 3:1 student-to-teacher setting
- Track student progress and provide ongoing feedback when needed
- Foster a positive, supportive, and confidence-building learning environment
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in English language and literacy skills
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is an asset
- Comfortable working with children and youth
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, reliable, and organized
Availability:
- Monday – Thursday: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
