Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Metal Fabricator. Duties
- Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately cut, shape, and assemble structural metal components.
- Set up and operate machinery such as press brake machines, and machining tools to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Weld or bolt sections together
- Measure materials with calipers and other measuring devices to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Determine materials required
- Construct patterns and templates
- Assemble fabricated components in final product
- Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in structural metal fabrication, and reading blueprints or schematics.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining and press brake operation, and assembly processes.
- Ability to operate rigging equipment such as cranes safely; forklift certification is a plus.
- Skilled in using calipers, hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment effectively.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and interpreting technical drawings.
- Construction or manufacturing experience involving sheet steel or heavy steel structures preferred.
- Knowledge of schematics related to metal fabrication projects
