The Opportunity
As a Retail Manager, you are an active leader on the sales floor and a key member of the store's management team.
This is not a desk-based management position. Our Retail Managers maintain a strong floor presence, support and develop Department Managers, identify opportunities, solve problems and ensure their areas consistently deliver strong results.
You will work closely with the Dealer, General Manager, fellow managers and department teams to drive:
- Exceptional customer experiences
- Sales and profitability
- Strong retail execution and merchandising
- Inventory management and operational standards
- Employee development and accountability
- Productivity and effective scheduling
- Health, safety and loss-prevention standards
What You'll DoLead & Develop People
- Coach, mentor and support Department Managers and their teams.
- Set clear expectations and hold leaders accountable for results.
- Recognize strong performance and address opportunities for improvement.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training and employee development.
- Build a positive, accountable and results-focused team environment.
- Help develop future leaders within the business.
Drive the Business
- Take ownership of sales, productivity, operational execution and customer experience.
- Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve results.
- Plan, organize, delegate and follow up on priorities and projects.
- Ensure merchandising and retail standards are consistently executed.
- Use business results and retail metrics to help guide priorities and decisions.
- Continuously look for better ways to improve efficiency, execution and profitability.
Be Present for Our Customers
- Maintain a visible and active presence on the retail floor.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service.
- Support the team in resolving customer concerns.
- Reinforce a culture where customers remain a priority even during busy operational periods.
- Help build lasting customer relationships and strengthen our reputation within the community.
Who We're Looking For
We are interested in speaking with candidates who have demonstrated leadership ability in retail, big-box retail, grocery, automotive, home improvement, warehouse, hospitality or another fast-paced customer-focused environment.
Canadian Tire experience is an asset, but it is not required.
The right candidate will bring:

Physical Requirements
This is an active retail leadership position. Candidates must be able to perform the physical requirements of working in a retail environment, including:
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Regular movement throughout the store.
- Lifting and carrying merchandise as required.
- Reaching, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling.
- Assisting with merchandise and operational execution when required.
