Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team in a part-time or full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will support pharmacy operations, assist with medication management, and provide excellent patient care. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage inventory, stock shelves, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under supervision
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness in accordance with medical orders
- Maintain detailed records of medication transactions and patient interactions
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and documentation updates
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, health regulations, and confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth pharmacy operations
Requirements
- Previous hospital experience or pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration processes
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
- Experience in billing and Kroll paperless is required
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Certification or training in pharmacy assistance or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory
- Must demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to patient safety
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
