Join 95 Developments as a Safety Coordinator for various construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible to develop and lead a high-performance team in safety awareness, policy and procedure, and training. The successful candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a sensitivity for potential dangers. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
- Develop various site-specific safety plans, fall prevention, rescue and other site-specific plans required for the company.
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly site safety audits and safety inspections for all active sites (upload all inspections to Procore).
- Develop various employee H&S and corporate in-house training programs
- Advise and Implement provisions to mitigate safety risks.
Develop and enforce OHSA policies, e.g. Working at Heights:
- Direct accident investigation procedures & follow ups.
- Record keeping of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions.
- Organize and conduct OHSA training plans.
- Collaborate with managers & site supervisors to monitor compliance and identify safety issues.
Intervene in unsafe activities or operations and instruct corrective actions:
- Liaise with and report to official regulatory bodies on OHSA matters.
- Schedule and coordinate all required inspections related to environmental health and safety on construction sites.
- Design, develop and implement health & safety programs to ensure compliance with all regulation including municipal, provincial and federal guidelines.
- Take responsibility to act on and implement corrective action in the field.
- Update and track training records, e.g., schedule and implement training as required.
- Organize and chair JHSC.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of OHSA and Regulations.
- Proficient in risk assessment and hazard analysis.
- Employee education, training and mentoring.
- Incident and accident investigation and safety auditing.
- Knowledge in workplace health & safety, risk management, hazard identification and accident prevention.
- Knowledge in occupational health and safety legislation and employment laws.
- Strong knowledge in construction safety for residential and high-rise condominium.
- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) is recommended.
- JHSC level 1 and 2.
- CORE certification is recommended.
- Fire Prevention & Protection.
- Occupational Health & Safety Certification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office related programs.
