The Walmart Key Account Manager will be the primary point of contact with the expectations to be able to grow the business and maintain the strong relationships with Walmart and potentially other retail partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for growing our business and expanding our listings in Walmart and potentially other retail partners, along with identifying and acquiring new shelf space to aid in increasing the portfolio
- Partner with Sr Executive to develop account specific strategies to achieve and grow sales & profits that align with the retailer and Incredible Group strategies
- Achieve sales targets including, revenue and activity; identify areas for growth potential
- Execute annual sales plans with a focus on profitable sales opportunities, retention, and market penetration; develop customer specific strategies to differentiate and add value
- Track and measure account POS to ensure successful program sell through; profit targets are met for each category; monitoring inventory levels
- In control of executing all aspects of the account functions including but not limited to business plans/line reviews, product presentations, item listings, monitors purchase orders and changes as needed, forecasting, product flow, promotional plans & spend management, and day-to-day retailer needs
- Book and lead sales meetings. Proactively identify and manage customer’s current and future requirements
- Works closely with all internal teams
- Prepares and analyzes weekly business and develops actions to address sales/inventory/product flow/exit strategies
- Keep current on customer/competitor situations and generate a plan to ensure market objectives are achieved
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
- Ability to travel for trade shows and out of office meetings
Duties
- Develop and maintain relationships with buyers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and strategies in order to build programs.
- Drive sales initiatives by identifying new business development opportunities within existing departments or accounts.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profitability while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
- Utilize our CRM tools to manage account information, track sales activities, and report on performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service and support to clients.
- Lead presentations and meetings with clients to showcase products/services and address any concerns.
- Ability to commute into the office located in North York
Qualifications
- Proven experience in account management or a related field, with a strong understanding of sales processes within Walmart.
- Minimum two (2+) years of successful experience in Walmart Account management in either Consumer Packaged Goods or Hardlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients at all levels.
- Must have excellent computer skills which include Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of closing deals successfully.
- Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, capable of guiding teams towards achieving common goals.
- Proficient in analyzing data and market trends to drive strategic decisions.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
