The Math Shack Education Centre is currently seeking one or two part-time Math Instructors for September (Training would start in August) who are passionate about working with students of all ages, from early learners (4 years old) through middle school and high school.
About the Position
- Schedule: Evenings (3:00 PM – 8:00 PM), weekends, and/or possible daytime hours
- Format: In-person instruction
- Session Length: 45-minute sessions
- Group Size: Mostly individual and occasional small groups
At The Math Shack, we use a fun, play-based, multi-sensory approach to help students build confidence and skills in math. Our students range from advanced learners to those with higher learning needs, including:
- Dyscalculia
- ADD/ADHD
- Autism
- Developmental delays and other learning differences

Ideal candidates will:
- Demonstrate a strong interest in math and creative instruction
- Be enthusiastic, patient, and engaging
- Enjoy working with children and adolescents in small group environments
- Be open to supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Be dependable, punctual, and willing to learn and implement new teaching methods
Preferred Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education (ECE)
- Educational Assistant (EA) certification and experience
- Bachelor of Education degree (or currently working toward one)
- Relevant teaching or tutoring experience
