Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications, maintaining consistency and quality.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, professional manner to take orders and answer questions about menu options.
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system, including Micros POS, to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while upholding product quality.
- Upsell menu items and suggest add-ons to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Follow proper food handling procedures, including sanitation practices and safe storage of ingredients.
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or food industry roles that demonstrate familiarity with kitchen operations.
- Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for smooth cashiering transactions.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and inventory counting.
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
