Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial/Automotive Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint and coatings to various high tech and industrial components, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet safety and aesthetic standards. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Mix paints, primers, and coatings according to specifications using basic math skills
- Operate spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other hand tools to apply paint evenly on parts and assemblies
- Use power tools as needed for surface preparation or repairs
- Utilize forklifts for moving heavy components safely within the workspace
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste
- Conduct quality inspections to verify finish quality and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing or automotive environments preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and forklifts (will train)
- Basic math skills for mixing paints and measuring components accurately
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and assembly processes is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
- Prior experience painting required
