Description:
Ritual Recovery is an Ottawa-based cold plunge and recovery manufacturing company building commercial cold plunge systems for gyms, wellness spaces, sports facilities, and recovery-focused businesses across Canada.
We are looking for a part-time Social Media Manager / Content Creator to help us capture, edit, and post consistent content across our social media channels. This is a hands-on, in-person role for someone who understands short-form video, enjoys creating engaging content, and wants to be around a growing wellness brand.
This role would be ideal for someone creative, organized, fast-moving, and comfortable capturing real day-to-day business content, including manufacturing, fitness events, shipping, behind-the-scenes moments, customer projects, partnerships, and the general process of building a company.
What You’ll Do
- Create approximately 7 social media posts per week for Ritual Recovery
- Film short-form video content at our office, workshop, and events at various locations around Ottawa
- Capture behind-the-scenes content of cold plunge production, product builds, shipments, commercial projects, events, partnerships, and daily company life
- Edit short-form videos designed for Instagram Reels and TikTok
- Write engaging captions and help schedule post content
- Coordinate with our videographer to access higher-quality photo and video assets
- Help maintain a consistent content calendar
- Identify strong content opportunities while following the team during normal business operations
- Keep footage organized and easy to access
- Contribute creative ideas for hooks, and recurring content series
What We’re Looking For
- Experience creating social media content, especially short-form video
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Reels, and modern content styles
- Strong video editing skills
- Comfortable filming with a phone or camera
- Good eye for clean, engaging visuals
- Comfortable working in person and travelling between shoot locations in Ottawa
- Interested in fitness, wellness, recovery, entrepreneurship, or brand-building
- Motivated, reliable, organized, and able to work independently
Nice to Have
- Experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, Canva, Lightroom, or similar tools
- Photography or videography experience
- Experience creating content for a brand, small business, fitness studio, gym, wellness company, or personal brand
- A portfolio, social media page, or examples of previous content
- Access to your own camera equipment is a bonus, but not required
Work Environment
Some days will be spent editing content at our Westboro office. Other days may involve filming at our production shop near Beechwood, attending local events, capturing the manufacturing process, filming shipments, or joining us at shoots and partnership meetings around Ottawa. The role is part-time and flexible, but it does require in-person availability.
