South Western Regional Cancer Program
The Marketing Associate plans, develops and executes various promotional, marketing and engagement activities within the South West Regional Cancer Program (SWRCP), with the goal of increasing awareness of the cancer-related services available, and ultimately utilization of these services. Also fundamental to this role is ensuring that both internal and external stakeholders are continuously engaged in and informed of the activities of the SWRCP, contributing to increased patient and staff satisfaction and improved relationships with others in the system of cancer care across the South West region. This role will also work in close partnership with the SWRCP Patient Educator to ensure achievement of the Regional Patient Education workplan.
Rate of Pay: $28.481 per hour - $35.602 per hour
Hours of Work: Full Time/Temporary - 37.5 hours/week
Duration of Contract: March 9, 2020 to September 27, 2021
Successful completion of Bachelors degree in public relations, marketing or communications
Minimum 1 year of related marketing, public relations or communications experience
Proficiency Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email skills
Advanced Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
Experience with Drupal content management software for the web
Experience working with third-party email distribution platforms (e.g. Mail Chimp, Constant Contact)
Proficient videography skills and experience working with Camtasia or other video editing software
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work effectively within a team environment
Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and ability to manage change
Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills in a variety of situations
Demonstrated effective organizational skills involving time management
Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety
Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step)
