Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment according to schematics and design plans
- Conduct system inspections and perform maintenance or repairs on existing HVAC units to ensure peak performance
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately install equipment
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, brazing equipment, and refrigeration gauges to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems
- Perform plumbing connections for HVAC components and ensure proper water and refrigerant handling.
- Operate a variety of field service equipment including drivers’ vehicles while adhering to safety protocols
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician and/or installer with a strong background in residential and or commercial systems
- Knowledge of construction practices related to building codes and safety regulations
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, plumbing, boiler operation, and appliance repair
- Field service experience working directly with customers in their homes or properties
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
