Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including hospital, acute care, pediatrics, home care, assisted living, nursing homes, and senior care environments. This role requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, medication administration, and patient management to support diverse patient needs effectively.
Duties
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in accordance with physician orders and nursing protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner for documentation and case management
- Perform phlebotomy procedures and assist with laboratory testing as needed
- Manage pain control strategies and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or requiring senior and pediatric care
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medication use, and post-discharge care plans
- Assist with patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and documentation of medical histories
- Support medical office functions including charting, scheduling, and administrative tasks related to patient care
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Proven experience in hospital settings, acute care, or specialized areas such as pediatrics or senior care
- Proficiency with electronic health records systems like Epic and Cerner
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and nursing procedures
- Experience working with diverse populations including children, seniors, or dementia patients is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within healthcare teams
- Previous experience in pain management, case management, or laboratory procedures is advantageous
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and handle multiple priorities effectively
