Position summary
The Millwright/Heavy Duty Mechanic role is responsible for executing and optimizing maintenance activities to
ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of rotating and mobile equipment. This role focuses on
performing corrective and preventative maintenance, assessing equipment condition, and delivering effective
troubleshooting and repair solutions. Working closely with operations, maintenance leadership, and external
vendors, the technician supports continuous improvement of predictive and preventative maintenance
programs.
The position requires strong technical expertise, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and the ability to
work in dynamic environments, including outdoor conditions and on-call situations. Additionally, the role
contributes to equipment reliability and cost efficiency by supporting root cause analysis, maintenance planning,
and best practice implementation while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams. Working
outdoors in adverse conditions and overtime may be required as determined by business needs.
