Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Carpenter Helper / Labourer to support our lead carpenters on residential job sites. You will assist with site prep, material handling, basic carpentry tasks, and site clean-up, as well as surface prep and painting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead carpenters with framing, measuring, cutting, and installing materials.
- Load/unload materials, tools, and supplies.
- Perform site cleanup, demolition, debris removal, and maintain an organized workplace.
- Assist with site preparation, taping, sanding, and general painting/coating work.
- Safely operate basic power tools and hand tools under supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Basic understanding of carpentry tools and safety protocols.
- Willingness to learn, take instruction, and perform painting and surface prep work.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites across the Calgary area.
- Strong work ethic, punctual, and team-oriented.
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
