The Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan is presently accepting applications for the position of Full-time “Grader and Heavy Equipment Operator,” to work in the Township’s Public Works Department .
The successful candidate will possess:
· Grade 12 education or equivalent with a minimum of three year's experience
· Ability to handle physical effort and exertion
· Knowledge of safety procedures
· DZ Driver's licence and clean driver's abstract
· Minimum of two year's experience sanding/salting with a tandem truck
· Ability to operate all Roads Department equipment including but not limited to backhoe, dump truck, excavator, water truck
· Grader experience is required
· Good interpersonal skills are necessary, along with the ability to work on an "as needed" basis, in relation to weekends, etc.
The rate of pay will range from $27.49 - $32.73 per hour (2026 rate). Starting rate will be based on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will assume a 41-hour work week
