We are looking to add a full-time Occupational Therapist to our team in Calgary! We have created a successful Occupational Therapy program in Edmonton and have expanded into Calgary. We are seeking the right candidate to join our team and help us grow our suite of services.
Responsibilities of an Occupational Therapist would include:
- Conducting comprehensive Functional Capacity Evaluations, Housekeeping Assessments and Cost of Care Assessments, for medical legal, disability and insurers. Completing clear, concise and well-rounded reports following these evaluations within a timely manner.
- Assessing, completing care plans, and carrying out treatment plans for clients with cognitive needs, including post-concussion, brain injury, aging, post-cancer rehab, etc.
- Assessing, completing care plans, and carrying out treatment plans for disability clients, including physical and mental health related injuries.
- Conducting ergonomic assessments and reporting.
- Splinting
- In-home assessments.
- Work hardening programs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Occupational Therapy degree.
- Registered member and in good standing with Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Training in Matheson Functional Capacity Evaluation preferred, but not required.
- 2 years of experience or more is preferred.
- Self-motivated to assist in growing your clientele.
- Strong communicator and comfortable working with a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent understanding of providing quality customer service.
