We are looking for a passionate and skilled Brass Instructor to join the Richmond Hill Long & McQuade lessons centre as an independent contractor. In this role, you will not only teach music but also ignite a lasting passion for music in your students. Your primary responsibility will be to provide dynamic and personalized lessons that cater to the unique goals and abilities of each student. Whether you’re guiding a beginner through the fundamentals or helping an advanced player hone their craft, you will create an inspiring and encouraging environment that fosters both technical growth and a deep appreciation for the art of music.

Job Description
- Lesson Teachers work as independent contractors
- The majority of Long & McQuade stores have on-site Lesson Centres that offer lessons in piano, guitar, bass, drums, woodwinds, brass, strings, and voice.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, one-on-one lessons that cover key aspects such as music theory, sight reading, rhythm, and more.
- Cultivate a diverse repertoire for students across various genres while helping them develop their personal sound and musical identity.
- Promote a deep appreciation for music, encouraging students to analyze, listen, and understand musical structures.
- Collaborate with parents and front desk staff to track student progress and ensure seamless lesson experiences.
Job Requirements
Suitable candidates must have at least one of the following:
- A music degree or diploma from a recognized University or College
- A minimum Grade 8 RCM standing with Grade 2 Rudiments
- Professional equivalency
- Must have previous teaching experience with all ages of students
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
