Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing various types of flooring, including tile, hardwood, engineered hardwood, laminate, LVT, and LVP, ensuring precise and high-quality work. This role requires attention to detail, familiarity with construction tools, and the ability to read blueprints. The Flooring Installer will collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare surfaces for flooring installation according to project specifications
- Use hand tools such as saws, drills, and trowels to cut, shape, and lay flooring materials
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Install various flooring materials including tile, hardwood, laminate, or vinyl in residential or commercial settings
- Perform surface preparation tasks such as leveling, caulking, and sealing floors before installation
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Maintain a clean work area and properly handle all tools and materials
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in flooring installation or related construction work
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in flooring projects
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpretation
- Experience with tile laying, carpentry, caulking, and general handyman tasks is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions accurately
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during installation projects
- Prior construction experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Reliable Transportation is a must.
