THE OPPORTUNITY
Terra Early Learning is an early learning center with a strong commitment to education for sustainability. We are seeking an experienced Social Media & Content Creator to help grow our presence and share our story with families and the wider community.
As the Social Media & Content Creator, you will develop and lead content strategies that build awareness of Terra and communicate what makes our approach unique. Through engaging digital storytelling, you will capture the everyday experiences, values, and relationships that define our center and bring our philosophy to life online.
You will help shape a brand voice that is warm, thoughtful, and authentic - one that reflects our commitment to children, community, and a more sustainable future. Your work will ensure Terra’s online presence is consistent, recognizable, and aligned with our culture, ethics, and vision for early childhood education.
The purpose of this role is to build and maintain a strong brand personality that reflects Terra’s values and inspires connection, trust, and community engagement.
THE ROLE
As the Social Media & Content Creator, you will:
- Develop a strong understanding of Terra’s culture, and what sets us apart from other early learning centers.
- Create and manage a content and social media strategy that aligns with Terra’s philosophy, values, and culture.
- Support marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives.
- Represent Terra authentically and engage with our online community in a meaningful way.
- Create, curate, and publish content across Terra’s social media channels.
- Create photo, video, written, and event-based content that reflects the life of our school and engages families.
- Track, analyze, and report on social media performance and insights on a regular basis.
- Share accurate, up-to-date information about Terra’s programs and offerings.
- Develop strategies to grow and nurture community engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships within the community.
- Engage with current and prospective community members in a timely, professional manner.
- Share school events on social media by identifying, coordinating, and communicating relevant details.
- Collaborate closely with leadership and educators through regular meetings.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in marketing, communications, or a related field, combined with strong communications and marketing experience.
- Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
- Strong digital video production, technical, and creative skills.
- A minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in marketing and social media.
- Excellent writing, grammar, editing, and content creation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English is required, and Mandarin is considered an asset.
- The ability to thrive in a creative, growth-stage environment.
- A highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to work independently.
- Well-organized, adaptable, flexible, and able to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Strong attention to detail and is results oriented and a results-oriented mindset.
- A commitment to contributing to team goals and fostering a positive and professional workplace.
- Have experience in managing social media channels, such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Rednote (Xiaohongshu, which is an asset).

- A forward-looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to present innovative ideas.
- A passion for building and maintaining relationships.
- Experience using social media scheduling and management platforms such as Later, Meta Business Suite, Conversocial, and Sprinklr.
- Basic graphic design skills with Canva or Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator preferred.
- Experience with content management systems, media monitoring, and publishing tools.
COMMITMENT
- Part-time, Permanent
- Some evenings and weekends will be required.
