Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Bartender/Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are highly valued. This position involves serving food and drinks, managing cash handling, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained throughout service.
Duties
- Take orders accurately from customers using POS systems, including Micros POS, and process transactions efficiently with cash handling skills.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including bar and dining spaces.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations at all times.
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations effectively through strong time management skills.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down service stations before and after shifts.
- Handle cash register operations accurately, including basic math calculations for bills and tips.
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in bartending or serving roles.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables or bar orders efficiently.
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Hospitality background is a plus, demonstrating a commitment to creating a welcoming guest experience.
