MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of Earthworks, Tailings, and Open Pit Mining is an asset
- Completion of a Basics of Supervision course (such as provided by IHSA)
- Ability to identify, evaluate and troubleshoot potential mechanical and safety issues with equipment on site
- Ability to communicate with others in a positive, productive manner.
- Knowledge of relevant construction methods and means
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Comply with site-specific indoctrination and report on monthly progress
- Conduct daily Toolbox Safety Meetings & document all items covered
- Maintain a written log/diary of daily activities
- Meet with each employee on site daily and provide written instruction
Must have, or be willing to obtain NORCAT, WHMIS, Worker Safety Awareness in 4 Steps. Surface Common Core would be an asset.
Crushing Experience is an asset.
Rate of pay to be negotiated.
