Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Septic Tank Installer to join our construction and installation team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of septic systems, requiring a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical components. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy equipment, using hand and power tools, and working in various outdoor environments. Duties
- Install septic tanks, piping, and related components according to project specifications and local codes
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging gear to excavate trenches and position tanks
- Use hand tools and power tools for assembly, connection, and adjustments of septic systems
- Perform electrical work related to low voltage wiring for system controls and alarms
- Conduct site inspections to ensure proper installation procedures are followed
- Assist with site preparation, including grading and trenching
- Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to during installation processes
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment used during installations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately
Requirements
- Proven experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and rigging techniques
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues during installation
- Electrical experience related to low voltage wiring systems is preferred
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding, and other construction equipment
- Ability to operate welding equipment safely and effectively
- Knowledge of septic system components, plumbing standards, and local regulations is a plus
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license; experience operating a bucket truck or similar machinery is advantageous
