This position will primarily be as a Food Service Worker, however there will be shifts required where you are working as a Cook.
Food Service Worker: Helps prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with the resident’s diet requirements at meal times, sets and clears dining rooms, is responsible for the washing of all dishes, silverware, pots and pans, the preparation of vegetables and assisting with serving in dining rooms.
Cook: Prepare food for three meals per day for all residents and assumes some duties of the Supervisor of Nutritional Services in their absence. Prepares, cooks, bakes and serves a variety of food from a planned menu and gives direction to staff.
Must have completed a chef training program or a culinary management diploma program from an established college as listed in the Ontario Colleges of Applied and Technology Act 2002 or a registered private college in Ontario or have attained Interprovincial Standards Red Seal program status, or be currently working as a cook at Woodingford Lodge.
Must have Institutional quantity cooking experience and must be in possession of a current Food Handler certificate.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.
Knowledge of computer operations.
