About this opportunity:
Cenovus’s Finance - Crude Production & Export team has an engaging opportunity for a Financial Analyst to join their team. This individual will provide finance and accounting support to the Trading, Supply & Logistics business unit focused on Heavy Crude. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing and communicating the financial and performance management reporting for internal and external reporting purposes while bridging results to the economic P&L.
This position will work closely with the front office and is responsible for all accounting and finance aspects of the Crude business including budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis, account reconciliations and balancing, accruals, and journal entries.
What you’ll do:
Manage the record to report process (accounting, reconciliation, reporting and analysis) for Crude trade books including:
Financial Stewardship.
Performance Measurement Reporting.
Bridge of Economic P&L to Financial Results.
Contribute to long-range planning, budgeting and forecast efforts for the trade book(s).
Assess/Develop/Deploy back-office business process change.
Who you are:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
CPA Designation or Degree in Finance.
5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, business / financial analysis.
Advanced Excel & SAP skills would be an asset.
Experience in oil and gas marketing/trading would be considered an asset.
