About Elements Outdoors:
Elements Outdoors is a nature-based program that fosters adventure, connection, and exploration for children in an outdoor setting. Through hands-on experiences, we inspire curiosity, resilience, and a deep connection to the natural world. Our programs range from forest school experiences to summer camps, all designed to help children thrive in a playful, supportive environment.
Role Overview:
As an Outdoor Educator, you’ll lead children through immersive outdoor experiences that blend adventure, environmental education, and personal growth. You’ll be part of a passionate team dedicated to creating a supportive and engaging environment where children can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate daily outdoor programs for children aged 4–12, incorporating play, exploration, and environmental education.
- Implement nature-based lesson plans aligned with our educational philosophy.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during activities.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to create a cohesive and dynamic program.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers about their child’s experiences and progress.
- Maintain equipment and manage resources necessary for program delivery.

Qualifications & Experience
Post-secondary diploma/degree in one or more of the following areas is an asset:
- Teaching
- Child & Youth Care (CYC) or related fields
- Registered Early Childhood Education (ECE)
- Recreation
- Outdoor Education
Additional Qualifications & Skills:
- Background in child development, outdoor education, or recreation is an asset.
- Experience working in a nature-based, experiential, or adventure program is a plus.
- First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and actively participate in activities like climbing, running, and exploring.
