ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Property Claims professional to lead the design and delivery of practical, performance-focused learning that strengthens technical capability across our claims organization. You will work closely with claims leaders and frontline teams to identify performance gaps and develop training that drives consistent, high-quality file outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Training Design & Delivery
- Develop and facilitate training programs focused on Commercial Property claims, including coverage, investigation, estimating, liability, file handling, documentation, and settlement practices.
- Create and update learning materials that reflect real-world adjusting scenarios, internal standards, and best practices.
Coaching & Support
- Provide coaching, feedback, and job aids to support new hires and experienced adjusters.
- Facilitate file reviews, case studies, and workshops to reinforce technical skills and decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Claims Leaders and other stakeholders to identify performance gaps and align training with business priorities.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and current.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Define learning objectives and measure training effectiveness using feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
- Continuously improve training materials, workflows, and enablement resources to increase consistency and efficiency.
- Bring in external industry trends and practices to keep technical content current and relevant.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Several years of Commercial Property claims adjusting experience with a carrier, independent adjusting firm, or equivalent.
- Strong technical capability in commercial property file handling, including complex coverage interpretation and end-to-end claim management.
Skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences.
- Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on deadlines.
- A continuous-improvement mindset focused on measurable results.
Education
- Formal training experience is helpful but not required.
- Education or certification in Adult Education is considered an asset.
