Talan Canada is growing and looking to strengthen its teams with a Microsoft Office 365 Unified Collaboration Engineer for the Montreal office, able to work with clients in several industries.

Represent as a Unified Communications and Collaboration expert with both operational and design engineering responsibilities in a diverse telecommunications infrastructure environment
Emphasis on integration of Enterprise Voice systems (Oracle/Acme Packet) SBC/ECB/EOM with multiple voice and collaboration platforms
Exposure to regulatory recording and archiving solutions (Verba, NICE NTR, Global Relay) a plus
Key Focus on automation and DevOps within the Communications / Collaboration perimeter
Work closely with both IT and business partners to design and implement solutions supporting business needs
Within a team, design and implement critical business systems aligned with corporate strategic direction
Ability to multi-task and manage operational and project related tasks/responsibilities
Must be able to act autonomously and manage projects efficiently
This role requires the ability to explain & justify design decisions to IT peers and articulate the advantages and risks of alternative solutions
Responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting complex Collaboration, Enterprise voice, and Unified Communication issues
As required, perform root cause analysis, incident management, communication with internal clients / business partners / Service team members
Ensures all production changes are made in accordance with production lifecycle methodology and risk/change management guidelines
The subject matter expert will provide technical mentoring to other team members and actively participate in architecture reviews/strategic development activities
Strong hands-on technical skills, an analytical problem-solving mindset, delivery focus and client-orientation are all critical for this role
Participate/Contribute with after-hours/weekend work in rotation with all members of the team
Enterprise Voice (Oracle/Acme Packet SBC/ECB/EOM or comparable Session Border Controllers, Scripting, Regular Expressions
Specific familiarity with Oracle/Acme Packet SBC or comparable Session Border Control platforms
Knowledge of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and/or Skinny Client Control Protocol (SCCP)
Familiarity with architecture/design and implementation experience integrating with Microsoft cloud-based collaboration technologies (Teams)
Knowledge of regular expressions, scripting, automation, and Agile methodologies
Experience with Unified Communications and Collaboration technologies related to Enterprise Voice, Archiving, and External Federation Services
Expertise and troubleshooting experience with TCP/IP, DNS and some level of experience with network infrastructure/topology
Trading Telephony technologies
Experience with Cloud based collaboration tools used in the enterprise ecosystem (Teams, Zoom, BlueJeans, ON24)
Exposure to other infrastructure areas including Active Directory, VMware, NAS Storage, Backup & Recovery, SQL Server, Cloud Services, etc.
Involvement with Archiving solutions: Global Relay, NICE NTR, Verba
Forwarding thinking of implementing Ethical Wall and Machine Learning capabilities within the collaboration ecosystem
ITIL experience is preferred
Prior work experience
Minimum 3-5 years
Financial services business knowledge, particularly prior work experience with financial industries desired
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or the equivalent experience
Certification in MS technologies and IT Project Management desired
English required, French nice to have
