Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Sandwich Maker/Cashier to join our vibrant food service team! Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches and food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system to process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food prep areas, adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
- Assist with maintaining inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and food service environments, preferably within the restaurant or food industry
- Strong cashiering skills with familiarity using a POS system
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Experience with upselling menu items to increase sales and enhance guest experience
- Kitchen experience or restaurant background is highly desirable for understanding food prep procedures and safety protocols
