Position Summary
As an Automotive Technical Support Representative, you’ll be the go-to expert for customers, distributors, technicians, and sales teams looking for product guidance and technical solutions. If you enjoy solving problems, talking shop, and helping others succeed, this role is for you! We’re looking for someone with strong automotive knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for troubleshooting mechanical and technical issues quickly, professionally, and with confidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support via phone, email, and online communication platforms
- Assist customers with product installation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and warranty inquiries
- Interpret automotive applications, specifications, and compatibility information
- Research and resolve technical product issues in a timely manner
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and technical cases
- Collaborate with engineering, quality control, sales, and product management teams
- Stay current on automotive technologies, products, and industry trends
- Support training initiatives and contribute to technical documentation and FAQs
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism under pressure
Qualifications Required:
- Strong automotive mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service experience in an automotive environment
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
Preferred:
- Automotive technician certification or equivalent experience
- Experience with aftermarket automotive parts or OEM support
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems and diagnostics
- Experience using CRM or ticketing systems
- Bilingual abilities are considered an asset
