Clinic Coordinator
Banff Sport Medicine | Canmore, Alberta
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 40 hours/week
$23.00–$24.00/hour, based on experience
Banff Sport Medicine is looking for an organized, proactive and people-focused Clinic Coordinator to join our team in Canmore.
This is a varied role that combines hands-on support within our Sport Medicine clinics with administrative and operational support behind the scenes. You’ll work closely with physicians, patients and the broader BSM team to help keep clinics organized, patients moving smoothly through their appointments, and the day-to-day details of the clinic on track.
If you enjoy working with people, staying organized, solving everyday problems and being the person who helps keep things running smoothly, this could be a great fit.
What you’ll do
Your role will include:
- Supporting Sport Medicine physicians during clinic sessions.
- Preparing and rooming patients and helping maintain efficient patient flow.
- Cleaning and resetting examination rooms between patients.
- Preparing requisitions, forms, patient handouts and follow-up information as directed.
- Booking follow-up appointments and assisting with appointment-related patient communication.
- Helping coordinate physician clinic schedules, including schedule changes, clinic additions and cancellations.
- Assisting with examination-room assignments and communicating scheduling or room changes to the team.
- Monitoring clinic supplies and placing approved orders for medical, office and operational supplies.
- Helping coordinate maintenance requests, equipment servicing and deliveries.
- Communicating with vendors and service providers as needed.
- Maintaining administrative documents and records.
- Assisting with meeting preparation, health and safety documentation, and other general administrative tasks.
- Supporting the Operations & Business Manager with clinic projects, new initiatives and improvements to day-to-day workflows.
The position will involve both patient-facing and administrative work throughout the day, so we're looking for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable moving between the two.
Who we’re looking for
You may be a great fit if you are:
- Organized, dependable and able to manage multiple tasks throughout the day.
- Friendly and comfortable interacting with patients, physicians and colleagues.
- Proactive and willing to jump in when something needs to be done.
- Detail-oriented and able to follow established processes.
- Comfortable adapting when schedules or priorities change.
- Confident using computers and learning new systems.
- A strong communicator who works well as part of a team.
- Someone who takes pride in creating a positive experience for patients and colleagues.
Previous experience in a medical clinic, healthcare environment or Medical Office Assistant role would be an asset, but we're also open to candidates with strong administrative, customer-service or coordination experience who are eager to learn.
What success looks like
In this role, success means helping our Sport Medicine clinics run smoothly, ensuring patients are prepared and supported throughout their appointments, keeping administrative details organized, and being a reliable resource for the physicians and team around you.
You don't need to have all the answers — but you should be someone who is willing to find them, follow through, and help keep things moving.
