We're looking for a
Water Treatment Technician to join our team in Richmond, British Columbia.
The Water Treatment Technician is responsible for working with internal and external customers, installation, commissioning, and operation of various styles of mobile water treatment systems. This would include processes from slurry to water. Utilizes in construction, remediation, and industrial projects. The Water Treatment Technician will work primarily at project sites throughout Central and Western Canada.
What You'll Do
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Safety
- Leading in execution and implementation of all KBL safety policies and procedures
- Lead by example and mentor junior staff
- Supervise sub-contractors when applicable
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with the Safety Department
- Partake in safety related meetings
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and operation of KBL's custom-built mobile water treatment equipment
- Optimize equipment and troubleshoot for deficiencies on a continuous basis
- Accurately collect and compile sample data for reporting to stakeholders
- Calibrate equipment as per operating manual requirements
- Lift, push, pull and drag up to 50 lbs
- Interpret results and adjust equipment
- Other related duties as requested
- Conduct equipment and site inspections
- Must have reliable transportation
Who You Are
- Experience and a solid understanding of the water treatment field is required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
- Understanding of electrical systems and controls
- Ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to maintain strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate in a positive, and professional manner.
- Must be able and willing to complete tasks/projects as directed by Management to achieve company and project objectives.
- Water Treatment Technicians may work long hours. The successful candidates will see varying shifts over the course of the project.
- 12-hour shift work is required at remote sites throughout Central and Western Canada.
- Valid and current Class 5 Driver’s License
