The Opportunity:
Our worldwide network of Global Mobility Services professionals provides tax compliance, planning and advisory services to individuals who work, live, invest and have family outside of their home country. In addition, we assist international corporations and their employees with their tax, payroll and consulting needs related to operating in the global business environment.
The successful candidate will be part of a growing team professionals across our Eastern Canada region, with regular opportunities to collaborate with, learn from, and network with others. They will be responsible for assisting to manage workflow/status of compliance work, being a first point of contact for cross-border employees, organizing client data that comes in for preparing high quality client deliverables, coordinating tax return delivery and assisting with low complexity tax matters such as certain tax notices, using our standardized processes. There is the expectation that a coordinator will leverage existing tools, technology, and processes to complete their assigned work.
What you will do:
- Provide assistance and support to specialists and managers on the team

Adhere to current processes and support/enhance continuous improvement initiatives in standard process-based activities and compliance.

Answer client inquiries, arrange tax consultations, and assist with missing information requests

Develop and maintain client relationships with support from senior team members

Address routine CRA/IRS queries

Prepare high quality working papers for standardized and recurring tax services

Co-ordinate tax return delivery and e-filing where applicable

Actively develop one’s capabilities and basic tax knowledge

Track foreign office compliance

Assist with tracking and monitoring KPIs

Manage billing
What you bring to this role:
- College diploma or an equivalent combination of education/experience in administrative assistant skill set
-
Strong client services skills and positive attitude
-
Exceptional time management skills
-
Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for proofreading, suggesting alternatives and making modifications.

Proven ability to deal with sensitive materials with a high degree of tact and discretion
-
Experience with resource forecasting tools is an asset

Advanced skills with MS Office Products. In particular, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint etc
