Sarens Canada is currently recruiting for a Branch Manager based out of our Surrey, BC office.
This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Country Manager. This position will be responsible for the following responsibilities and tasks (but not limited to);
Operations
Maintain safe, efficient and effective planning of branch personnel and equipment.
Ongoing fleet allocation and asset management.
Responsible for optimizing and maximizing the occupation rate of the equipment related to the branch.
Manages the profit and loss and forecasting for the branch.
Checks and approves branch operators’ hours / Work Record Sheets, reducing non-billable hours for the branch as much as possible.
Communicates daily with his/her employees.
Executes site visits, work place inspections and monthly safety meetings.
Initiates improvement actions for the branch team.
Provides input and mentorship on ongoing employee performance and takes appropriate actions as needed.(e.g. in relation to competency, evaluation, coaching, rewarding, disciplinary measures, etc.)
Responsible for managing the daily and first line maintenance of branch equipment.
Manage the equipment delayed task list and preventative maintenance program for branch fleet.
Pro-actively informs Maintenance dept. on status and condition of equipment.
Pro-actively communicates on (anticipated) idle capacity due to technical failure.
SHEQ and Compliance
Actively promotes the branch team to work safely and according to the Sarens’ quality standards to ensure that all work is done in a safe, efficient and qualitative way.
Spreads the culture of Lean and continuous improvements in the branch.
Responsible for making sure that all the executed activities and processes are in compliance with Sarens’ standards, policies, procedures, instructions and local / federal legislation.
Sales
Knows the equipment and its possibilities, as well as the clients’ most required lifting services in order to be/become the client’s most trusted and knowledgeable advisor on heavy lift, special transport and crane rental.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with customers and prospects ensuring a high level of safety and service
Provide input for the annual sales plan of the branch and manage progress monthly.
Manage the set KPI’s for the branch.
Pro-actively informs Sales dept. on relevant potential leads, customer/market circumstances, market developments, risks, etc.
Processes RFQ’s (Request for Quotation) and prepares estimates and tenders following the Sales authorization scheme.
Qualifications
2-5 Years experience in a similar role
Project Management training considered an asset
Experience in complex and competitive environments
Able to read and understand technical documentation
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $160,000.00-$165,000.00 per year
