Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Shingle Roofer to join our roofing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asphalt shingle roofing installation and repair, with a focus on quality workmanship and safety. This role involves working on residential projects, ensuring roofs are properly installed, maintained, and repaired to meet industry standards. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of roofing practices and be capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain shingle roofing systems using various sloped roof materials.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during all phases of roofing work
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment to facilitate installation or repairs
- Conduct inspections to identify issues with existing roofs and perform necessary repairs or replacements
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to roofing structures or supporting frameworks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a roofer with a strong understanding of the trade
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and other roofing equipment
- Experience with caulking, sealing, and waterproofing techniques
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks associated with roofing projects
- Knowledge of safety standards related to roofing work and construction sites
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
