Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Parts Person to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the key point of contact for sourcing, purchasing, and managing parts inventory essential for our operations. Your expertise will ensure the seamless supply of quality parts, support our manufacturing and service teams, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency. Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels by accurately entering data into ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and maintaining up-to-date records.
- Source and procure parts from suppliers, negotiating pricing and delivery terms to optimize costs and lead times.
- Assist internal teams with parts requests, providing exceptional customer service and technical support as needed.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of parts, supporting demand planning and supply chain continuity.
- Utilize procurement experience to evaluate supplier performance, identify sourcing opportunities, and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely to organize stock and fulfill orders efficiently.
- Maintain accurate documentation within CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking parts usage, orders, and inventory levels.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or background in manufacturing environments involving mechanical parts management.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for maintaining precise inventory records.
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management with a focus on sourcing and negotiation.
- Excellent customer service skills to support internal teams and external vendors effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior experience working with sourcing strategies, procurement processes, or supply chain optimization is a plus.
