We are currently looking for Full & Part Time cooks. You should have working availability Monday through Sunday early morning/afternoon/evening shifts. This is a great opportunity!
Responsibilities
* Prepares meals as required following company recipes
* Completes prep list as directed by the Chef
* Ensure company checklists are completed (temperature, sanitizer, safety, inspections, etc.)
* Follow company recipes as directed by Chef
* Maintain a high degree of cleanliness of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, sweeping and mopping, etc.
* Ensure all food products are stored properly
* Understands, abides and enforces corporate operational policies and standards, including health and safety, safe work practices and government regulations
* Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring forward any suggestions for improvement.
* Assist with food production as required
* Perform other kitchen duties as directed
Job Requirements:
* Red Seal certification or equivalent is an asset
* Diploma in Culinary Arts or chef training is an asset
* Minimum 1 year experience working in a commercial kitchen is preferred
* The ability to stand for long periods of time
* Must be detail oriented, organized, and have a desire to learn
* Possess a high degree of cleanliness
* Thorough understanding and knowledge of food and safe food handling
* Available for morning/afternoon and weekend shifts
* A strong verbal and written understanding of the English language
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Must be able to lift 30 pounds
* Valid AHS approved food safe handling certificate * Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
