RECRUITING AND ONBOARDING COORDINATOR
Mountainview Safety Services is growing, and we are looking for someone who loves finding great people and creating a great first impression.
We are hiring a Recruiting and Onboarding Coordinator who will take ownership of the recruitment process from identifying candidates through to their successful first day with Mountainview. This is not simply an administrative HR position. You will be actively recruiting, talking to candidates, building talent pipelines, coordinating interviews and helping new employees get everything they need to be ready to join the Mountainview team. You will often be the first person a potential employee speaks with and the first person they see when they arrive. We want that experience to be organized, professional and welcoming.
This position will be a on a full time, permanent basis at our Dawson Creek office.

What you’ll be doing:
- Recruiting for positions throughout Mountainview, including field, operations, administrative and support roles.
- Developing and maintaining candidate pipelines before positions become urgent.
- Writing and posting job advertisements and actively source candidates.
- Screening resumes and conducting initial interviews.
- Coordinating interviews with managers and technical staff.
- Preparing offers and managing communication with successful candidates.
- Coordinating employment documents, payroll information, certifications, licences and other onboarding requirements.
- Making sure new employees know where to be, when to be there and what they need to be successful.
- Coordinating PPE, equipment, technology and workplace access.
- Welcoming new employees and help make their first day a positive one.
- Coordinating the handoff to Training and Operations for competency assessment, technical training and field readiness.
- Following up with new employees during their first weeks of employment.
- Helping us continually improve how Mountainview recruits and onboards people.
- Working collaboratively with clients, coworkers, and other site personnel.
- Following Mountainview’s policies, procedures and client/site requirements.
- Promoting a positive and professional candidate and employee experience.
- Maintaining a high standard of professionalism and conduct.
- Performing other duties related to the position as required.
Who you are:
- You’re great with people.
- You’re organized and able to manage multiple recruitments at once.
- You are comfortable picking up the phone and talking to candidates.
- You are resourceful when finding people is difficult.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office and computer systems and are comfortable learning new technology.
- You are curious about AI and how it can improve your work.
- You are able to work closely with Operations and Training.
- You are someone who will take ownership, rather than waiting to be told what to do.
Assets:
Recruiting experience in oil and gas, industrial services, safety, medical, security, or other field-based environments would be considered an asset but is not mandatory.
Compensation
Wage: $50,000 - $60,000 annually
The compensation offered will be based on qualifications, experience, certifications, and the requirements of the assignment.
Additional compensation may include:
- Overtime and vacation in accordance with applicable employment standards and/or company policy.
