About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Accounting Manager to join our growing team. This role combines hands-on technical accounting expertise with people leadership responsibilities. As an Associate Accounting Manager, you will oversee client engagements, review financial reporting deliverables, mentor accounting team members, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients.
The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong financial reporting experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for developing people while delivering exceptional client service.
Key Responsibilities
Client Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Review and approve month-end financial reporting packages, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and review financial statements for private and public entities in accordance with ASPE and IFRS.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of government filings, financial statements, and related reporting requirements.
- Support cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities for clients.
- Maintain strong client relationships and serve as a key point of contact for accounting and financial matters.
- Coordinate with external auditors, public accountants, financial institutions, and other stakeholders as required.
- Assist clients with operational, financial, and strategic initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, mentor, and support a team of accountants and junior accounting staff.
- Review work completed by team members and provide coaching, feedback, and guidance.
- Assist with workload planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure deadlines are met.
- Contribute to performance management and professional development initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.
Process Improvement & Operations
- Assist in implementing and improving accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting procedures.
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through technology and process improvements.
- Support special projects and firm initiatives as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
Pay: $85,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
