Tom Harris Cellular is currently recruiting an Accounts Payable Clerk for their Head Office in Victoria, BC. The AP Clerk is responsible for providing financial and administrative support in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.

1) Perform the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that accounts payable is maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.
- Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services
- Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures
- Prepare batches of invoices for data entry
- Enter data invoices for payment
- Process backup reports after data entry
- Manage all payments
- Maintain listings of accounts payable
- Maintain the general ledger
- Maintain updated vendor files
2) Provide administrative support in order to ensure effective and efficient office operations.
- Post month end inventory adjustments
- Maintain a filing system for all financial documents
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial files
3) Perform other related duties as required.
The successful candidate must have proficient knowledge in the following areas;
- Knowledge of accounts payable
- Maintaining general ledgers
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
- Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial files
