Duties
The main responsibility of this role is to prepare and manage customer quotations based on service recommendations from field technicians for compressors and related equipment/parts. This includes reviewing technical notes, clarifying exactly what is required, identifying the required parts are 100% correct , and creating accurate cost proposals, and source the parts from various vendors. In addition, the role involves:
Communicating with vendors & customers by phone and email regarding pricing and availability of parts.
Maintaining and updating part numbers, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Adding new parts and customers equipment into our system, and making corrections when necessary.
Redirecting customer inquiries (e.g., service scheduling, invoices) to the appropriate departments.
Reviewing supplier pricing and applying appropriate markups.
Purchasing of some parts via our new FieldServio software system.
Collaborate with team members to streamline processes for improved efficiency.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Utilize some math skills to verify quantities and measurements 100% during order processing.
Be funny, as this team loves to joke around and laugh!
Experience
- Previous experience in Parts Coordination or Warehouse operations is mandatory. Maybe 2 years in the compressor industry, or at an auto parts desk, or large truck parts desk, would be great!
- Familiarity with order searching through parts manuals, fulfillment processes, logistics, and warehouse distribution practices is a big plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks accurately in a steady-paced environment.
- Basic math skills are essential for verifying quantities, and maintaining accurate records.
