To provide clerical support to several cardiology offices within the Division of Cardiology with respect to their clinical and administrative responsibilities at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
The hours will vary as per operational requirements with potential opportunity for full-time work. Looking for coverage during peek periods, sick coverage, and vacation coverage.
While our employees work in offices within the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, they are employed by Ottawa Academic Cardiology Management Corp.
Diploma in Office Administration OR Medical Office Assistant OR other combination of education and experience, along with demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position
Minimum two years of recent related administrative experience
Advanced knowledge of computers, including MS Office, electronic mail, clinical information systems and ideally EPIC HIS, and Adobe Pro.
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
Able to work independently with a high degree of organization and attention to detail
Able to take initiative, to meet deadlines, be flexible and work in a fast-paced environment
Superior problem-solving and decision-making skills
Preferred knowledge and experience with hospital processes and policies
Advanced medical terminology
Spoken and written French fluency is preferred
