Responsibilities:
- Prepare estimates of labour and material costs
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing
- Utilize project management software to track and manage estimates
- Prepare detailed bid proposals and negotiate contracts with clients
- Monitor project costs and provide regular reports to management
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure accurate estimates
- Be able and or have experience on takeoff software such as Trimble
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Estimating
- Trimble software knowledge is a requirement
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and practices
- Familiarity with project management principles and tools
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
