Loading & Dispatch Associate
Overview
We are seeking reliable, physically fit, and safety-focused Loading & Dispatch Associates to join our warehouse operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading freight into trailers, building and preparing pallets for dispatch, and ensuring the efficient movement of products throughout the warehouse. This role is critical to maintaining operational efficiency and requires the ability to perform heavy lifting, work in a fast-paced environment, and follow established safety procedures. Candidates with experience in warehouse distribution, logistics, shipping & receiving, or material handling are encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Load and unload freight, cartons, and materials into trailers and trucks using safe material handling practices.
- Build, stack, and palletize shipments according to dispatch requirements and company standards.
- Apply and verify shipping labels to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Operate Electric Pallet Jacks (EPJ) and other approved warehouse equipment to move pallets and freight.
- Organize and stage completed shipments for dispatch and transportation.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily loading and shipping targets.
- Inspect freight for damage and report discrepancies or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Follow company policies, productivity standards, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with inventory movement, warehouse organization, and other operational duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, shipping & receiving, distribution, or material handling is preferred.
- Ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting and physically demanding work throughout the shift.
- Experience operating Electric Pallet Jacks (EPJ) or other warehouse equipment is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and professional workplace conduct.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and meet productivity expectations.
- Forklift certification is an asset but not required.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly and heavier loads with team assistance when required.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment for extended periods.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
