Currently we are looking for Truck & Trailer Shop Supervisor who is self-driven and put quality and customers first. Being a team player and working with others will be a key role in your success with Red Seal Truck and Equipment Repair.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operations
- Prepare and provide work estimates to customers
- Maintain clear, professional, and consistent communication with customers throughout the repair process
- Review work orders to ensure accuracy and proper billing
- Complete and finalize invoices prior to units leaving the shop
- Prepare and provide efficiency reports to the owner for review
- Ensure compliance by all employees regarding Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and company safety policies
- Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety, health, and environmental programs and policies
- Prepare, update, and maintain safety manuals and related documentation as required
- Oversee the tool crib and ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in proper working condition
- Identify and report tools or equipment requiring repair or replacement
- Manage and monitor shop tools, equipment, and overall shop assets
- Maintain professionalism within the shop environment by controlling customer access to work areas
- Address and assist in resolving customer concerns or complaints related to completed repairs or services
2. Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance to the published company Health and Safety Policies
- Ensure compliance to the published Shop Policies
- Ensure equipment, tools and work areas are organized
- Inspect shop tools & equipment prior to every use. Tag/write up defects.
- Document monthly tool & equipment checks
- Test drive units as required
Requirements Skills, Education, and Certifications
- Licensed HET Mechanic an asset
- Good computer skills is required
- Shop supervision experience is required
- Experience with Truck and Tank Trailers
- Parts and Supplier knowledge
- Job estimation and understanding of SRT is required
- Commercial Vehicle Inspectors Certificate an asset
